Earlier this month I had the pleasure of hearing Paula Scher's talk at The Royal Geographical Society as part of her UNIT Editions book launch. I've always admired Paula's freedom with type and choice of imagery over the years so I was keen to hear her talk through her design life.
She didn't disappoint a packed hall, running through 'Ten Life Lessons from the Field' before being interviewed by Adrian Shaughnessy in a wide ranging Q & A. She was open and honest about her life and the choices she's made as a designer and how she feels design can offer something in a pro bono aspect to the wider community. All in all rather inspiring.
